Dear Old Lawrencians.
Greetings from the Management Committee of the Old Lawrencians Association!
Another Founders beckons us back to LSL, and our beloved Alma Mater is ready to welcome us to partake in the celebrations. We are sure everyone, especially the reunion batches, are making arrangements for this special occasion. We, the managing committee, would like to ensure that each and every one of you have a great time, reliving your school days, and make this get-together a memorable one. Attached with this, is the welcome letter for all of you to make your plans accordingly. Kindly make note of all events the school has specially organised for us on the campus. We, on our part, should reciprocate this gesture by attending these events in large numbers.
The Headmaster graciously hosts lunch for the Old Lawrencians at school, which is followed by the AGM of the OLA.Your presence at the AGM is important to all of us for the posterity of the association. It is to be also noted that two events are off campus. The Golf tournament is on May, 23rd morning, at the Ooty Gymkhana. And, The OLA DINNER & DANCE, is at the Taj Savoy, on 25th May, evening from 8.00 p.m. onwards. It is a herculean task for both the school, and for us, to work towards the success of these events, especially as we are clueless regarding the number of attendees. We, therefore, request all of you to respond to our mail so that we can be adequately prepared and make the events a grand success.
We are indeed an extremely privileged group to be part of this great institution. Every one of us, who have gone through the Lawrence School, Lovedale, automatically become members of the Old Lawrencians Association. Our Association has been registered under the Societies Act of Tamil Nadu in the year 1989. Subsequent to the registration of the OLA, a one-time fee was collected for becoming a life member of the Association. All outgoing batches, who completed 12th STD from the year 1989, subscribed to this one-time life membership fee. It has been noticed that many who left, before completing the 12th from school, are yet to become life members. So, we urge those of you who have inadvertently omitted to subscribe to immediately register as a life member. Attached are the LIFE MEMBERSHIP forms along with details to be filled in for the OLA ID card.
Also attached, is a registration form for those attending Founders this year, along with the dinner and dance questionnaire. The online payment link is also provided.
Please do feel free to contact any of us on the committee, as listed below, if you have any queries.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
On behalf of the OLA Committee
